The Message project visually appropriates microfluid device circuits to explore a fictionalized narrative suggesting an imaginary archaeological exploration.
Microfluid devices are used at INL by the Food Processing And Nutrition Research Group to simulate the behavior of the digestive system. The system designs of these devices suggest an alphabet of a potential unknown civilization and transport us to an imaginary archaeological research, where some elements that reflect this speculative research are found and revealed.
This project is part of “Under Scale Travels”, a collaborative program about art and nanotechnology between gnration and INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory.
Project made by Openfield, in collaboration with Miguel Xavier (INL Food Processing and Nutrition Research Group).
