Light & Laser Installation at AntiStage / NeoPop Festival 2017
Stage installation composed by four light portals holding a series of LED tube lights. The LED tube lights were controlled in real-time creating a dynamic stage with multiple patterns and audio-reactive sequences. In addiction a laser beam was drawing geometric shapes in a transparent screen in the middle of the portals, enhancing a visual and sound synchrony and a tunnel-like illusion.
34 LED tube lights controlled by VDMX . “We made a quartz composer patch with 34 white squares, and a slide to control each one’s opacity. This way we could pixel mapping the installation (each square/pixel -> 1 Led tube). we then used a USB/DMX interface to control a DMX switcher triggering the tubes on and off.”
(Unfortunately our DMX interface was not ArtNet, so we couldnt control it directly from VDMX, we had to syphon it to Madmapper).
